The first couple of minutes are missing because of a technical hitch. Martin started by sharing that his intention was to explore the many different ways that God’s Character is expressed in the world. The section that is missing related to God’s Character as expressed through art. Martin showed Rublev’s Icon of the Trinity which is full of subtle hints at God character and is regarded as one of the most important representations of the Trinity ever painted. You can see the picture here and read about the many different meanings here.
Martin then went on to talk about God’s character in music and specifically Beethoven’s 6th Symphony in which Beethoven expresses God’s character as a beautiful and yet terrifying creator. This is where the recording picks up.
