Re-Opening Update

COVID-19 and Protective Measures

Throughout the past few months the leadership team have been meeting, chatting and praying regularly and part of these discussions and prayers have been when to open up the building again. We feel that the time is now right to do that and are planning on having a service available at Hebron starting on Sunday September 13th. We will continue, for the time being, to also have the service available online, via a live-stream on our YouTube channel for those who feel they are unable to attend and also to ensure numbers meet safety guidelines.

We are implementing a number of protective measures in line with government guidance, to ensure that we minimise the risk of spreading the virus during our services. Please read through the information below to make sure you are aware of these measures...

Before you arrive

  • Do not attend if, in the last 14 days, you or anyone in your household or support bubble has had any of the key symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, persistent dry cough and loss of taste or smell).

  • You must register your attendance in advance on our website to help us prepare socially distanced seating. This is essential to help us ensure everyone's safety. You can do that on our events page.

  • All touch surfaces will be thoroughly cleaned while wearing personal protective equipment.

  • We have undertaken a COVID-19 Risk Assessment to help identify transmission risks and set out the actions we will take to mitigate them. A copy of the Risk Assessment can be seen on request.

  • Refreshments will not be provided so, if needed, please bring a drink with you.

  • Please plan to arrive by 10:50am to ensure we can begin at 11am.

When you arrive

  • There will be a one-way entry and exit system to prevent pinch points and face-to-face interaction.

  • Hand sanitiser must be used upon entering the building.

  • Face coverings must be worn while indoors, as required by law. Children under the age of 11, those with valid exemptions, and those leading the service (preaching) are not required to wear a face covering. Please remember to bring a mask with you.

  • You will be shown to your seat when you arrive.

  • We will maintain social distancing of at least 2 metres at all times where possible. The capacity of our services is determined by the size of the venue and the size of households attending. Households and support bubbles will be seated together.

  • There will be no Bibles available to use from church, so if you have one, please bring your own with you.

  • Please limit your social interaction with anyone from outside your household group, including in the surrounding outdoor space.

  • Toilet facilities will be carefully managed to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19. Everyone using the toilet facilities should wash their hands for at least 20 seconds using soap and water. Please wipe all touch surfaces after use with the cleaning products provided. Children under 11 should be accompanied to the toilets.

During the service

  • Children must be supervised by their parents. There will be no provision of crèche or children’s programmes during services at this time. Please bring something (a book preferably) to keep any small children entertained.

  • There will be no congregational singing.

  • Preaching will be done from a safe distance from the congregation.

  • We will not be taking Communion during this time.

  • Please take everything you bring with you home.

After the service

  • The congregation will exit the building as soon as the service concludes.

  • Please sanitise your hands as you leave.

  • All touch surfaces will be cleaned again while wearing personal protective equipment.

As mentioned earlier, we will live-stream services for those who are unable to attend in person. Government guidance is continually under review, so keep an eye out each week for updates. If you have any questions or comments, get in touch through our website Contact Form below.
